Transport Talk ‘O’Connor Warren launches finance division’

Specialist transport and trucking insurance brokerage O’Connor Warren is adding finance to its list of services.

Founding director Eamon O’Connor says the company now has a lot more to offer its customers.

“Adding a finance division to our portfolio of insurance broking services now gives us a true end to end brokerage service,” he says. The Tauranga-based firm was established in 2013 as a specialist insurance brokerage looking after the transport, trucking and equipment market.

O’Connor says there has since been huge demand for finance services in addition to its insurance and general advice. “It ties in nicely with our general offering. We have been supporting our clients with advice around the best interest rates, loan structures and credibility of lenders since our inception.” “The time is right and frankly it fits seamlessly with the insurance placement process. We have been operating the new finance division for several weeks now and the feedback and sales have been tremendous.”

O’Connor says the key to the growth of the business has been its ability to offer the client genuine and purposeful advice on business and business issues. O’Connor Warren will now provide finance solutions for all types of equipment and assets, from single trucks to fleets, from mobile plant and forestry equipment, to cars and boats.

The new division will be headed and driven by Matt Coles.

O’Connor Warren are finalists at the 2018 New Zealand Insurance Awards to be held on November 29 at Sky City in the categories ‘Young Insurance Professionals Employer of the Year’ and ‘Small-Medium Broking Company of the Year’.
